CONGREGATION CHAVERIM RELIGIOUS SCHOOL

Registration for 2024-2025 School year is open now!

At our Religious School we offer engaging opportunities for Jewish learning for youth grades K through 8 and the whole family. Through music, storytelling, hands-on activities, play, prayer, text study, meaningful conversations, and social action we engage the whole person in Jewish learning, growth and exploration. We encourage our students to ask questions, use their creativity and bring their whole selves and passions to the process. We seek to create a warm inclusive environment where students and families can have fun and meaningful Jewish experiences, grow in their Jewish identity and understanding, and find support and friendship in Jewish community.

We encourage parents/guardians to participate in Religious School and beyond in the ways that move them. Our big picture goals for parents are 1) for you to feel supported as a parent, by your Judaism and your Jewish community, 2) to nurture a thriving and fun synagogue community where families know each other and 3) to honor the diverse beauty of your family and your Jewish expression. Each month parents/guardians will receive a print newsletter about what their children are exploring with some inspirations for how to flow that learning into daily life. There are many ways to engage and share your interests. Parents/guardians, grandparents and siblings are encouraged to join us for our holiday celebrations throughout the year. We welcome you to Kehillah, our “community time” at the opening of Sunday Beit Midrash as well as to the last half hour of Hebrew School which is an experiential service. We love parent and grandparent volunteers. There are small and big ways to contribute!

We always welcome conversation, ideas, input, curiosity and questions! Please contact the Education Director

(educationdirector@chaverim.net).
